Mr. William A. Pazos is the Global Head of Carbon Origination and Finance for theStandard Bank Plc. Previously he was the CEO and founding partner of EcoinvestCarbon S.A., a joint venture company with Bunge S.A. and one of the largest globalcarbon project developers. He has originated and sold several projects formatted toparticipate in the carbon-offset market within the Kyoto Protocol framework. He hasmanaged emerging market and high yield investments for more than 20 years. Heholds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics with a concentration in Mathematics fromThe College of Wooster, Ohio, and a MBA in International Management fromThunderbird – The American Graduate School of International Management.
