Singapore hosted the region's leading business leaders' forum – Global Entrepolis @ Singapore (GES) – for the 10th year from 28 to 31 October 2013. GES is an excellent networking and business matching platform for influential senior business executives, entrepreneurs, high net-worth individuals, founders and policy makers who attend the forum annually.

Presented by the Singapore Business Federation (SBF), the republic's APEX business chamber, this forum brings the global business community together to discuss the latest outlook on the changing economic climate, business model trends, thought-provoking perspectives and new approaches to growth.

GES 2013 featured 138 international speakers who provided insights on global trends and regional markets insights. GES helped attendees understand some of the key issues discussed at the summit and speakers including ministers such as Philippines Secretary of Trade and Industry Hon. Gregory Domingo; Singapore Minister of State Teo Ser Luck; Minister Dr Vivian Balakrishnan, as well as business leaders like Kevin Lu, Regional Director, Asia Pacific, MIGA, World Bank Group; Achal Agarwal, President- Asia Pacific, Kimberly Clark International; Rohan Mahadevan, Vice-President, PayPal Asia; Lothar Herrmann, CEO, ASEAN-Pacific, Siemens Pte Ltd.

Themed “Connecting Businesses to New Frontiers”, GES Business Leaders Summit 2013 provided an analysis of the growth opportunities in ASEAN and emerging markets, with a keynote address focusing on the eight trillion-dollar macro trends to 2020 and opportunities offered by business and government pursuits. Speakers also explored opportunities and challenges of the ASEAN Economic Community, the lure of the growing emerging markets, and presented on the latest trends in talent management, leadership and business innovation. The Market Insights sessions focused on trade and investment opportunities in Japan, Myanmar, China and Indonesia.

Complementing GES Business Leaders Summit 2013 are three SBF-led Focused Business Forums: SME Convention, Supply Chain Leadership Forum and the Asia Pacific Sustainability Leadership Forum.
